This trojan infects your PC when the infected media file is played. At this point, the file will cause your media player to send out a internet request to download malware associated with the trojan. The trojan makes changes to your registry and infects your PC. To Remove it, you need to edit the registry
Remove TrojanBrisvA Steps
Before we begin with the registry tweaks, you may want to use a Strong Antivirus Program to try and remove the trojan.
Step 1: Edit your Registry
- Click Start
- Click Run
- Type regedit
- Find this registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\PIMSRV
- Delete this key
Step 2: Restore Registry Settings
This trojan makes changes to your registry settings. You need to restore these two keys to their original format. Use the same steps(1-4) from above then edit the keys by right clicking the values
